What Is Marketing? Shawn Hessinger: At its core, marketing is about distinguishing oneself from competition, something most don’t appreciate fully. People underestimate just how difficult it can be to stand out amongst so much competition and stand out.
Jim Kukral: Businesses and individuals tend to be too close to their brands. You might excel at painting, but you’re no good at marketing them. What I’ve discovered over my 25-year tenure here is this: people dislike marketing; nobody wants to become one!
